For travellers wanting to call in and park their van or hitch a tent, this is the perfect spot. It’s a rare opportunity to taste a family farming operation too. You’ll find hot showers, wifi, comfy beds, a pizza oven and bbq in the farm kitchen. This farm stay has it all.
There are unpowered sites, powered sites, cabin accommodation and Bertha the caravan available.
Rove Numby
Reids Flat, NSW (2 hours from Canberra, 4 hours from Sydney)
Grab your hiking boots and gather your friends, it’s time for an adventure! Rove Numby is a three-day hosted walking weekend set on the 6,000 hectare Numby Station, a sheep and cattle property in the Hillstops region of NSW. Three days of exploring beautiful landscapes and enjoying delicious meals (all included!) at basecamp, before settling in to a cosy bed in one of the bell tents each night.
The Silos Accommodation

The Silos is off-grid perfection (EV charger and all). This 1960’s Lysaght grain silo - lovingly transformed into a secluded couples’ retreat - is set on a 6th generation working farm. Big Yard Farm
Jindabyne, NSW (5 hours from Sydney)
At Big Yard Farm you will have 100 acres of farm stay, adjoining Mount Kosciuszko National Park, to explore. The Mowamba River borders the farm, so bring a fishing rod and try your luck. The farm house has three generous bedrooms so there is plenty of room for fishing friends.
The Farmer's Hut - Wilga Station
Bathurst, NSW (2 hours & 50 minutes from Sydney)
This unique grass-roofed hut sleeping two is located on top of a hill with incredible views of the surrounding valley. Take it all in from the window seat, as the sheep graze right past! Guests at Wilga Station also have access to the walking trail along the creek, and the natural swimming pond. For larger groups there is the Shearer’s Hall which sleeps 10.
Shearers Lodgings - Waterloo Station
Glen Innes, NSW (4.5 hours from Brisbane, 2.5 hours from Tamworth)
Feel free to explore the 4000-acre, historical Waterloo Station during your stay. Head out along nature trails, try sapphire fossicking and play some tennis, then relax by the fireplace, as you listen to the birdlife and the nearby flowing creek.
