Riverina Region Stays

Here are some accommodation highlights of the Riverina Region of NSW. Beautiful stays all within an hour from one another so you can pick and choose where you want to explore and then book in for a gorgeous night’s stay.

Stay in Temora

Sleeps 4, 2 bedrooms - 1 hour from Wagga, 2.5 hours from Canberra

Harberton House

Harberton House Owner & Temora local, Craig Sinclair, has an eye for design and his thoughtful touches in this two-bedroom retreat combine Edwardian charm with modern comfort. From the soft sheets, inviting armchairs and fully equipped kitchen to the extra nooks for luggage and laptops and the deliciously generous ensuites, this stay has everything you need. A little jar of homemade tomato relish on the bench was the cherry on top for us.

What you can look forward to...

Good coffee (@espressohousetemora), pub grub (@therailwayhotel_temora) and great shopping are mere footsteps from Harberton House. Enjoy an early morning walk around Centenary Lake or try your luck at the flight simulator at the Aviation Museum. Relax in the sun-drenched courtyard with a cuppa or explore @diamondsanddust_temora or @kamarleyandmehomewaresandgifts.

Oh, and expect friendly locals who are town-proud.

Stay in Coolamon

Sleeps 2, 1 Bedroom - 30 mins from Wagga, 3 hours from Canberra

The Ark

The Ark is special. It is difficult to describe the feeling of peace and tranquility that this restored, deconsecrated church in Coolamon conjures. It has been thoughtfully curated so that every little touch is in perfect harmony with the unique space and history of this place. The bedding, the complimentary platter of goodies on arrival, the tiny jars of delicious homemade preserves, the fresh flowers all add a hint of luxury to this precious place.

What you can look forward to...

After a day of wandering Coolamon or a drive to nearby Junee, find time to relax in the clawfoot bath. Or sit and enjoy the ever-changing light through the stained glass windows while you read a book in one of the occasional chairs, perfectly positioned under stylish reading lamps.

The Ark is a short walk from Coolamon's main street where you can find the perfect party outfit at @shoprubysboutique, browse the nearby galleries or pick up some delicious cheese @coolamoncheeseco and gourmet goodies at Gigi The Gourmet Grocer. The newly renovated @coolamonhotel is a must stop for dinner and cocktails. You can't leave town without a coffee at The Station Collective.

Stay in Junee

The Silos Accommodation

The Silos is off-grid perfection (EV charger and all). This 1960’s Lysaght grain silo - lovingly transformed into a secluded couples’ retreat - is set on a 6th generation working farm. Enjoy views of the Eurongilly Valley from the hot tub or fire up the outdoor fire pit and take in the stars. During the day, meander along a farm trail or book a 'meet the farmer' tour. This stay is all-inclusive with guests being treated to the very best Riverina produce.

What you can look forward to...

Switching off!  Your stay here is all included. You'll be treated to delicious regional produce. Think: farm-fresh eggs and StockinPiggle breakfast supplies, FarmDoor Riverina dinner meals, Tumblong Hills wines, Bulla Creek Brewery beers, Coolamon Cheese artisan cheeses, Mirooll Cottage crackers, Junee Licorice & Chocolate Factory treats, Art of Espresso coffee, Riverina Fresh milk and more.

Junee is only 15 mins down the road where you can load up on treats from Junee's Licorice and Chocolate Factory or train-spotters can head straight to the Junee Roundhouse Railway Museum.

If you want to get out and about it is also the perfect base to explore the wider Riverina region with Leeton and Griffith only half an hour down the road.

What you can look forward to...
