The owner’s favourite thing to do at the property

It's really a question of what I feel like today. I could run a hot bath in one of our outdoor tubs and soak away the stress of a busy schedule, relax, snooze, read a book. Or I could lace up my runners and beat a rhythm along one of our winding trails rather than pounding the city pavement, easier on the knees and nourishing for the soul. Or click on my helmet and fill up my water bottle, put in some peddle time. I could ride my mountain bike along forest roads and the beautiful Teleghery river that winds in and out, up to Problem Creek Falls or even the Knob Lookout.

I might feel like booking a private guided Yoga Practice, breathe and stretch my hectic week away. Or I could just take a wander around the trails on Carawirry - there is 250acres of forest to explore without even leaving the property - and maybe end up sitting for a while in our Red Cedar Grove. Resting amongst these old beings.

I could go fishing in one of our dams, cook up a camp oven feast on the private firepit at each cabin…have a snooze in the hammock on the veranda. Or I might take a trip into Dungog and wander the Saturday Farmers Markets.. sip a coffee from a little cafe. So much to choose from, but today I might decide to just sleep in and think about it tomorrow.

The owner’s favourite day trip nearby

Leave the property? Most don't want to. After all, we all spend too much time in the car already.

Our guests are craving a short road trip, to untouched land. A fresh destination. They’ve done the AirBnB thing. They’ve stayed in the ritzy hotels with crowded pools and overpriced bar snacks. And if their ‘escape’ turns into 3 nights at mum’s place again, they may just scream. They want different. New. An experience. And to not to lift a finger. Once they arrive, they wander, explore, rest and recharge. They don't often day trip away.

Guests should not forget their…

Food and clothing, as well as any personal items - Carawirry is a photographer dream. And maybe your mountain bike? You'll find everything else provided for you in the cabin.

Make sure you give yourself permission to switch off. Take time. And don't forget your sense of adventure.

Step out of hustle bustlin’ urban life for a while. Wander into the woods... Explore. “Phoar.” Watch dappled light cascade to the forest floor. (Hey, that rhymed). Smile at your best friend. Maybe sing a little bit.

Carawirry gives you the kind of ‘being’ you’ve wanted for a while. But it’s slipped by. Because of inboxes, crowded streets, deadlines and “one last thing” meetings. Hear that? Exactly. Escape the grind. Experience. Really experience. True nature and bonds. With the land, your people and yourself.
